Make A Fast Friend -
Adopt A Greyhound
Hill
Country Greyhound Adoption Inc. was founded in 1993 for the sole purpose
of rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of Greyhounds. HCGA is located
in Seguin, but we are available in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus
Christi, and the surrounding areas. We will also adopt out of state
to approved homes. We are a non-profit incorporated organization,
dedicated to finding loving homes for retired racing Greyhounds. We
locate, rehabilitate and find loving homes for as many Greyhounds
as we can. We take "greyt" pride in matching up retired
racers with loving families. We operate strictly on donations and
volunteer help.
HCGA
not only works in placing Greyhounds as pets in qualified homes, but
we also work very hard to diminish Greyhound cruelty, abuse and neglect
as we work with the Texas Racing Commission, Texas Greyhound Association,
and National Greyhound Association. HCGA is the only Greyhound
placement agency that has trained cruelty investigators. HCGA
investigates complaints regarding an owner, breeder, Greyhounds in
shelters or pound and other Greyhound placement agencies/persons.
If you have a complaint or questions, please call 830.303.2229 or
e-mail CEO@hillcountrygreyhounds.com.

in NEED: We
are working with the Texas Greyhound Association to move
16 greyhounds in Dilley due to the owners death. Some of
them are older broods and the others are younger dogs. We
don't believe there are any puppies but we don't know for
sure. The TGA is concerned because they do not know to what
extent these dogs are being cared for. Please let us
know if you can help in ANY way by transporting, fostering
or short term foster until they can be moved. The important
thing at this point is to get them to a safe place. Email
fastfriends@hillcountrygreyhounds.com if you can
help in any way.
